Timelapse photography is an art that is best learned with experience and passion. At this workshop, you will be able to develop your skills and learn the craft with two professionals in the best city in the world.

THE TIMELAPSE SPOTS
360 CHICAGO
This timelapse workshop includes one evening at 360 Chicago. The Observation Deck allows the use of tripods, perfect for timelapse photography. It offers a 360 degree view of the entire Chicago Skyline and Lake Michigan.
Since we are shooting behind a window, a LenSkirt is needed to remove reflections.

So it doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or an expert photographer, this timelapse workshop is made just for you! Every student will receive personal training, which is the reason why we are limiting the number of students to maximum 6. If there is a particular topic you would like to approach during the 3-day workshop, please notify the instructors after booking your spot.
WHAT MAKES THIS TRIP DIFFERENT?
Emeric and Brian will take you to Chicago’s best timelapse locations, such as 360 Chicago, Adler Planetarium, the Riverwalk or even Ping Tom Park, at the right time of the day for every single lesson. Lodging, meals and transportations are already included in the package, so the only thing you need to focus on is learning timelapse photography and enjoy what the city has to offer!
On the final day, we will edit the timelapses together using LRTimelapse, Lightroom and After Effects in the hotel lounge. You will end up with high quality, professional timelapse videos you can sell and share online and some awesome memories from the best city in the world.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Brian Youchak is a timelapse photographer based out of New Jersey. He has been shooting timelapses since 2015 when he found his passion living abroad in Ireland. He currently shoots with a Nikon D850, teaches workshops around the NJ/NYC area and has worked with brands such as Best Western and the Empire State Building. Brian loves to travel around the world shooting timelapses.
Emeric Le Bars is a French timelapse photographer and Video Editor living in the beautiful city of Los Angeles, CA. He has been in the timelapse industry for the past 10 years and now has a portfolio of over 1200 timelapse videos from all around the world.
He has sold his work to Adobe, Facebook, OPPO, Google, Netflix, LG, STARZ, Microsoft, Mastercard, Red Bull, Nike with Converse, NBC Universal, and Time Warner Cabler to name a few. Today he teaches timelapse photography through online classes in both English and French, as well as live workshops all over the country.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to attend this timelapse workshop, you will need the following:
- DSLR or Mirrorless Camera with extra batteries
- Sturdy tripod, easy to carry around
- Intervalometer, either built-in or external
- ND filter of at least 2 stops (6 stops recommended)
- A LenSkirt to remove reflections from 360 Chicago
- Zoom lens(es) recommended, ranging from 16mm to 200mm
- Memory Cards to capture around 4000 images and external storage such as a portable hard drive
- Laptop to edit the image sequences
- LRTimelapse (Private or Pro License only, not the free version) and Lightroom Classic installed and ready to useÂ
- After Effects needed for Hyperlapse Photography (optional)
- Walking shoesÂ
NOTE: Students must have working knowledge of manual settings including aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focus, and white balance. Workshop will not focus on teaching camera skills!

When purchasing and booking this timelapse workshop, you agree to the following terms:
- The Timelapse Company reserves the right to cancel the workshop for any reason (up to two weeks prior to the workshop), a full refund will be given. We highly recommend purchasing a trip insurance for your flights. The Timelapse Company will not be responsible for any cancellation fees from your airline.
- The Timelapse Company reserves the right to cancel the workshop if there is less than 3 participants on or after September 1st 2023. The Timelapse Company will not be responsible for any cancellation fees from your airline.
- Listed price is per person, before taxes. Students are welcome to travel with a friend, partner or family member but only people with a spot will receive instruction.
- If you want to book 2 spots, you are free to do so. Please note that the hotel rooms for this workshop have King beds only.
- You can pay the full amount today or set up a payment plan with Stripe. We offer 2, 3, 4 or 5 times payments at no extra charge. The credit card used will be automatically charged every month.
- Full payment must be received at least 2 weeks before the beginning of the workshop (September 27th 2023)
- Cancellation is free until September 1st 2023.
- Cancellation fee of $300 if you cancel between September 2nd 2023 and October 8th 2023 midnight
- Cancellation fee of $900, which cover the hotel nights, if you cancel less than 48 hours before the workshop.
- When booking this workshop, you will receive a general liability insurance included in the package from The Timelapse Company.
- This insurance does not cover photography equipment. Students are in charge of protecting their own gear if needed. Any accidents happening to the gear during the workshop will not be covered by The Timelapse Company.
